If you own or represent anyone who owns retail properties, this article should be required reading!

Growing Retail Chains Run Gamut of Concepts by Debra Hazel at GlobeSt.com

You won't find this being reported on MSNBC, CNN or even Fox News. If it were it may just ease the the minds of some folks in the Commercial Real Estate Business.

The article does say that some 150,000 Retail stores are expected to close in 2009, but it also tells us between 105,000 and 110,000 retail stores are expected to open in 2009.

For those of us who own or represent owners of retail locations, let's continue thinking outside the "retail-box." We should also take to heart, what Mz. Hazel had to say in her article and go after these 110,000 retailers coming into the market.

Original post blogged on JosephOrd.com Blog.
